Models and Tools for Cross Cultural Competence 

Steve King, Vice President of Baxter Healthcare will lead this dynamic presentation which will focus on the skills and perspectives required of the HR professional to better manage and consult to the issues of a global workforce.  The goal of the session will be to provide those attending some mental models and practical tools to best serve their business partners/clients.  Content expected to be covered will include work on global dimensions of culture, the role of context in achieving high performance, and diagnostics for improving cross cultural interactions.

About the Presenter: This unique session will be led by Steve King, Vice President of Talent Management at Baxter Healthcare, a 13 billion dollar business with nearly 50,000 employees worldwide.  In his role, based out of Deerfield, Illinois, Steve is responsible for such HR work as leadership development, succession management, performance management, talent acquisition, and diversity/inclusion.

Prior to joining Baxter Steve is Executive Vice President of Human Resources at Hewitt Associates, responsible for Hewitt's global HR function.  Steve also spend time at Hewitt as their Chief Learning Officer.
