Blog Post: A Day In The Life Of A Nurse

Education For the second year, Hospice of Palm Beach County participated in the countywide “A Day In The Life Of A Nurse” program for high school students interested in pursuing careers in the medical field.
20 students and their Instructor (a Registered Nurse) from Lake Worth High School got a real life look at what a day in the life of a hospice nurse might be like. We simulated a patient's admission to hospice with the help from some of our volunteers. One of the hospice volunteers came by with his therapy dog(above) to demonstrate some of the programs and services available to our patients. To sign up as a volunteer or to learn about the other great services we offer go to www.hpbc.com or call (561) 848-5200. For every community, and every family... We're There
