“Greater Hollywood Junior Chamber (Jaycees) Seeks Nominees for 2009 Distinguished Service Awards”

The Greater Hollywood Junior Chamber of Commerce, better known as the Hollywood Jaycees, are gearing up to honor the community’s young movers and shakers during its annual Distinguished Service Awards.
The cocktail reception, to take place on October 8, will recognize young members in the community between the ages of 18 and 40 who have demonstrated exceptional service within their organization or profession.

Do you know someone that has made a real difference in the community over the last year?
The Hollywood Jaycees are counting on you, citizens and employees of the Greater Hollywood area, for nominations for each of the categories being honored. Please review the list of categories below and contact us for nomination forms ASAP.
There is no cost to submit individuals to be considered for the awards. The Jaycees will choose the recipients of the awards based on submitted letters of recommendation, resumes, a questionnaire to be completed by the nominees, along with a proven record of going above and beyond for their organization or profession.

We are now accepting nominations for outstanding individuals who fall within the categories listed below.

3. Non-Profit / Social Service Professional
4. Local Government Executive
5. Elected Official
6. Computer / Information Technology Professional
7. Physician (Medical, Dental, etc.)
8. Health Care Executive / Professional 
9. Architect / Engineer
10. Growth and Development Professional
11. Financial Services
12. Attorney / Consultant
13. Environmentalist / Conservationist
14. Business Executive
15. Entrepreneur / Business Owner
16. Community Leader / Organizer
17. Pioneer (may be over the age of 40)

 

Individual awards ceremony and dinner tickets are available for only $25. Table sponsors are also available for $300.00 and proper recognition will be provided by table-top display and stage announcements of appreciation.

The Jaycees is an organization of young men and women, ages 18 through 40 that focuses on charitable involvement, social activities and developing business opportunities. The Jaycees offer young men and
women an opportunity for further personal development and leadership, with major efforts directed to finding solutions to problems within our communities. Hollywood Jaycees play an integral part in our community and take pride in developing tomorrow's leaders. This idea of providing "leadership training through community involvement" has been the basis of the Jaycees since the organization's beginning in 1920.
