Blog Post: Are you doing a little homework before your interviews?

Today we have easy access to so much information about virtually any company in our community. The internet provides us with tons of information so that being prepared for interviews is easy and truly expected by the person you meet with for an interview at a prospective company.

When I meet with candidates, I love to hear that they have done their homework. Being prepared for a conversation tells me that you are interested in our meeting, and the potential of working for our organization. The time you spend learning about a company will also give you ideas on the type of great questions that you can ask during the interview.

Just a few quick tips on how to prepare:
...Visit the company website and check out the about us, their mission, any videos, and any blogs if they have them on the site.
...Google the company and see how they appear and what comes up under their name. Many times you can find great articles recently written about the organization.
...Learn about the person that you are interviewing with from the organization by searching for information about them on the company website or simply do a Google search on that person.

A little homework will take you a long way and prepare you for some great conversations.
