The Women’s Alliance, a national nonprofit organization of independent, community-based members who provide professional attire and career skills training to low-income women  seeking employment and their families, seeks a dynamic individual to help lead The Women’s Alliance to its next stage of development.  Founded in 1999, The Women’s Alliance has 35 members across the United States.  Collectively, each year, The Women’s Alliance serves more than 50,000 women and families with the clothing and confidence they need to succeed in their job search and in the workplace.

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

 

Employment Status:       Full-Time Employee (contract period:  _______ to _______)

POSITION SUMMARY

 

The Executive Director (ED) is responsible for directing the operations of The Women’s Alliance along with the operations of Chapter Two, the social enterprise division of the organization, within the mission, goals and policies established by the Board of Directors and reports to the Board of Directors through the Board President.  The ED provides leadership and demonstrates sound fiscal and human relations skills in planning, coordinating and implementing programs and services.  Additionally, the ED is responsible for marketing and fundraising activities to maintain the financial viability of the organization.

Operations Management

1.       Focus on and work toward consistent and timely progress of the long-range organizational strategy and mission as developed in concert with the board of directors.
