FastTrain, a leading career training school, is looking for a CAREER and STUDENT SERVICES COORDINATOR in Miami-Dade County to be responsible for administering career service assistance to all students and graduates and ensuring that placement goals are met.
• Develop and maintain employment opportunities for graduates through industry networking and partnerships, community outreach and professional organizations • Develop and maintain positive, professional relationships with area employers • Meet with students and graduates to determine their employment needs • Maintain school bulletin job boards • Maintain overall and programmatic established placement goals • Assist students and graduates through career readiness course instruction, resume writing, job searching, interviewing skills workshops and personal advisement for reaching career goals • Send resumes and schedule interviews to fill job order requests from employers • Maintain an active job database system to ensure sufficient job opportunities at all times for students and graduates • Distribute, collect and analyze graduate and employer satisfaction surveys • Travel within the surrounding communities to market and develop employment opportunities • Market the school and its students/graduates through job fairs, open houses and other employment related community events • Plan and execute meetings and events such as advisory board meetings, on campus recruitments, employer presentations and career service workshops, etc. • Work closely with Program Directors to ensure placement goals are being met • Develop extern/intern sites leads; assist with externships/internships and employment related opportunities for students • Develop department goals and measurements Skills / Requirements
• 4 year degree preferred
• Career services experience with a career school or college/university preferred • Must have strong public speaking and presentation skills • Bi-Lingual, English/Spanish • Must be a “hands-on” team player, organized, detailed & computer proficient with strong communication, marketing and customer service abilities • Excellent communication and grammar skills • Strong organizational skills • Must be goal, team oriented and pay considerable attention to details • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines • Good problem solving, creative thinking and ability to handle numerous details • Result focused with a passion for customer service and business results Type
