Our Pompano Beach office is looking for a Customer Support Representative. Must have EXCELLENT customer skills and be able to deal with all types of customers. This position is primarily responsible for answering customer service calls, check stock availability, quoting prices, entering customer orders and purchase orders, resolve customer problems and provide professional technical assistance to our customers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Answers telephone calls and resolves problems including checking stock availability, pricing, technical questions and expediting orders.
  • Enter Customer Orders and Purchase Orders.
  • Quotes projects using Autoquotes.
  • Maintains proper level of factory literature.
  • Faxes/email equipment specification sheets, acknowledgements, confirmations and/or any other related documents.
  • Checks factory acknowledgements for accuracy
  • Handles walk-in customers
  • Follows up on customer order issues.
  • Keep current on manufacturer / customer pricing and discounts
  • Keeps current on product knowledge for all factories that Chernoff Sales represents.
  • Coordinates customer orders with factories meeting the needs of the customer.
  • Follows up on all customer order issues from order processing, returns, factory returns, to shipping.
  • Coordinates orders between customers and salesmen and follows through on all issues.
  • Maintains awareness of customer routing instructions so that orders are shipped per customer’s guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned by Upper Management

  • Skills / Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years experience
  • EXCELLENT written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Team player with ability to work independently.
  • Superior multi-tasking skills
  • Clear voice
  • Excellent computer skills (MS Office, Outlook, Excel and word).
  • Powerpoint / Publisher Applications a PLUS.
