This position supports the Director of Finance in the annual strategic and operational planning for the bank as well as in the management of the ALCO process.
The incumbent will produce the annual budgets, strategic plans and other profitability reporting and control tools, which will be utilized by the Bank in the Financial Controls and Management Reporting processes. The incumbent will also participate in the preparation of all information to be presented at the ALCO committee, as well as participating in the development and coordination of the Incentive Compensation plan for associates. Responsibilities 1. Run the IPS-Sendero A/L model with all balance sheet data to develop the NII and EVE sensitivity analysis for the bank using standard rate shock scenarios and other interest rate scenarios. 2. Help coordinate the annual strategic planning, budgeting and monthly forecasting processes. This includes timelines, deliverables, interaction with operating units, consolidating and reporting. 3. Prepare monthly budget-actual variance analysis and review with business line managers. 4. Prepare the ALCO package quarterly and budget semi-annually. On a monthly basis produce rolling forecasts to be presented to senior management. 5. Complete other projects as assigned by the Director of Finance or Chief Financial Officer/Treasurer. Skills / Requirements
Bachelors degree in Finance or related field required 3-5 years experience in banking with a focus on asset/liability management, accounting, budgeting and financial modeling and at least 2 years experience utilizing the IPS-Sendero SVAL (or equivalent) modeling software. Strong communication and analytical skills a must. Knowledge of IPS-Sendero model, SVAL model and FTP model. Proficient in Excel/PowerPoint required.
Skills and Abilities: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills required to frequently contact with employees or executives involving transactions of business.
