Job: Medical Coding/Billing Instructor

Florida Career College is seeking qualified individuals to become full-time faculty members. Most full-time faculty members work a four (4) day work week, Monday through Thursday. Classes are conducted 9AM-1PM and 6PM-10PM.

Promotes and nurtures the education of students by planning and tailoring courses of study according to curriculum guidelines and state requirements; monitoring, assisting with, and correcting academic efforts; providing a safe environment conducive to learning.

Develops and presents lesson plans by using a variety of techniques, including lectures, projects, exhibits, field trips, audiovisual and library resources, computers, and the Internet.

Proficient in Medisoft Software

Minimun of 2 years proficient medical coding/billing experience required.

Processing medical insurance, billing and claims experience is a must.

Teaching experience preferred.

CPS, CCA, RHIT, CCS, CPC or CBCS Certification highly preferred.

ICD-9 and CPT coding experience a plus.

Local candidates preferred.

Full-time.

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Associate Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
