Position Summary:
Responsible for utilizing magnetic resonance imaging scanners to capture specific images ordered by a physician to aid in patient diagnosis.
Position Expectations and Responsibilities:
Expected to have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Expected to develop and maintain skills in McKesson RIS, Physician Portal, PCM, PMM, Kronos, PACS, PHS, Teletrak and any other clinical systems implemented related to the modalities. Expected to have basic mathematical skills. Expected to monitor and ensure equipment performance to specification. Expected to assist the supervisor in maintaining an adequate level of supplies required for patient care. Expected to ensure that relevant exam information is captured at the time of the exam. Expected to assist radiologists in performing exams providing clinical excellence. Expected to serve as a resource person to patients, coworkers, radiologists, and any other customer. Expected to write routine reports and correspondence. Expected to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
Minimum Education and/or Experience Required:&
High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent AND Two years from an accredited technical school.
Licensure/Regulation/Certification:
ARRT (MR Registry or Registry eligible with documentation) General Radiographer license (CRT) by the State of Florida BLS from American Heart Association
