Job: Oncology Veterinary Technician

Animal Cancer Care Clinic exclusively serves veterinary cancer patients from five convenient locations in South Florida. The fifth clinic, a full service wellness center, just opened in Ft. Lauderdale that serves as the primary hub for comprehensive care including medical oncology, radiation therapy, immunotherapy, brachytherapy/implant therapy, surgical oncology, clinical trials, nutritional support, acupuncture and pet owner support groups.

We are looking for a veterinary technician to support our radiation oncologist who loves to teach and will be actively involved in developing advancements in patient care through clinical trials and university collaboration. An exceptional opportunity exists for a technician who has experience with anesthesia protocols, patient monitoring equipment and client education.

Our practice concept is unique and is devoted to caring for all aspects of our veterinary cancer patients and their families. As a new, modern facility, every tool for the delivery of optimum cancer care will be available including CT, linear accelerator with electrons, digital radiology, ultrasound, 3D radiation treatment planning, lacercyte CBC machine- biochemical profile and electrolyte machine.

Opportunities are available to work with an experienced oncology team that includes three board certified veterinary medical oncologists, one trained in both medical and radiation oncology. A high staff to specialist ratio allows for maximum efficiency and superior patient care.

This is a part time position that will require the person to work on Saturdays in Ft. Lauderdale and short shifts during the week with some work done in the other locations.

Must have previous experience as a veterinary technician or equivalent experience in the health care field.
