Job: Nurse Practitioner

Substance Abuse Treatment Facility looking for an experienced full-time Nurse Practitioner.

Description:

1. Evaluates and treats patients; appropriately determines when referral to Physicians is required.
2. Performs medical procedures specific to specialty area and training.
3. Responsibly charge and code all supplies, medications and procedures.
4. Keep current CPR certification. Attend required emergency training sessions, OSHA training sessions, and staff meetings.
5. Follow clinic policies and procedures as they relate to Human Resources, Nursing, and Exposure Control.
6. Participates in educational conferences. Updates and maintains professional knowledge and skill related to areas of practice.
7. Maintains patient confidentiality and upholds HIPPA laws.
8. Executes and evaluates treatment techniques within the scope of NP practice to assess and manage the program population; demonstrates advanced problem solving skills in all aspects of medical and nursing assessment, care and treatment.
9. Provides, and is accountable for, patient care according to the philosophy and standards of the company.
10. Utilizes appropriate clinical skills to integrate and implement the nursing process with the plan of care.
11. Functions as a clinical resource for the patient, consistently providing direction and support to ensure a focus in the team goals and patient driven outcomes.
12. Functions within the role expectations of his/her area, delegates duties to other caregivers as required and consistently provides appropriate supervision.
