Today we serve over 150 national and international clients, both publicly-traded and privately-held, covering a broad range of industries including retail, technology, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, as well as non-profit and government entities in the following practice areas:

  • Health & Welfare Plans
  • Qualified Retirement Plans
  • Executive Compensation & Benefits

    We are currently in need of a Senior Consultant for our growing team. This individial will be responsible for advising and strategically managing the ongoing benefits programs for clients of the Firm as may be assigned from time to time. The Senior Consultant is the coordinator of all Firm resources supporting any client engagement (Health & Welfare, Qualified Plans, Executive Benefits, Executive Estate Planning).

    This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer.

  • Skills / Requirements
    Responsibilities include:
  • As necessary, the oversight of the client work of those engagements where the Sr. Consultant is assigned performed by a Health & Welfare Specialist and Administrator
  • Delegation and oversight relative to the performance (by the appropriate area within the Firm) of data analysis, applying quality assurance procedures, researching and resolving inquiries from clients, plan participants and/or vendors providing services to the client, and supporting/testing system changes and enhancements
  • Strategic oversight of benefit plans for assigned clients
  • Overseeing the maintenance of documentation/ administrative procedures and processes
  • Overseeing the implementation of administrative outsourcing systems and procedures for existing and/or new clients
  • College Degree (Bachelor Degree) and Professional Designation obtained or enrolled in program (CEBS,JD,CPA)
  • Minimum of 15+ years of technical employer self-funded Health & Welfare administration and plan design experience, including supervisory and client management experience/skills.
  • Ability to manage workflow, reporting to clients, and consult with clients on various issues - specifics to be defined at the time of client assignments. Areas of workflow and reporting might be (but should not be limited to): quality control of reports, vendor management, timeliness of reports to clients, consultative advice, contract issues and compliance.)
  • Ability to understand and interpret plan documents, SPDs and other related materials. Working knowledge of and experience with corporate financial statements, benefits laws such as ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, corporate tax and accounting, benefit risk management, mergers & acquisitions benefit related issues
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Excellent client communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work in a team and meet group objectives within tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Ability to manage concurrent/multiple assignments and meet group objectives within established or expected tight deadlines, while paying close attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain composure and consistency of effort in a high pressure, fast-paced environment.
  • Project management skills, including the ability to plan and prioritize on-going projects and organize/utilize resources effectively and other duties as requested from time to time by other senior staff members.
    Additional requirements/miscellaneous information regarding this position are:
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel,Outlook)
  • This position requires an individual to be able to travel via automobile and airplane on a frequent basis to client locations. The individual must be able to spend several hours per day at a computer managing daily tasks, calendar and email functions.
