Jobing Description
Job Functions:
  • Creation of Planogram
  • Creating strategic relationship with key vendors and suppliers.
  • Managing inventory at warehouse and store level.
  • Purchasing product for stores within assigned category.
  • Introduction of new products with full vendor support.
  • Negotiating with peers for merchandising, advertising, support and space.
  • Creation of winning merchandising strategies and partnering with store managers on execution.
  • Successful advertising strategy and vendor support.
  • Creation of annual business plan for category with vendors.
  • Partnering with pricing/financial analysts on pricing strategies for products.
  • Comprehends and maintains department standards and follows special department operating procedures.
  • Adheres to weekly work schedules and needs to be flexible to the needs of the business

    • Skills / Requirements
  • Bachelors degree or above preferred.
  • Merchandising Systems experience a plus.
  • At least 5 years in Category Management positions in specific area required.
  • Incumbent must poses patience and desire to build systems, processes and structure.
  • Incumbent must have the ability to complete tasks in an informal, fast paced, changing environment.

    Competencies Required:
  • Dealing with Ambiguity, Decision Making, Managing Others, Communication Skills, Organizational Skills.
