The Institute for Child and Family Health, Inc. (formerly The Children's Psychiatric Center) is a private, not-for-profit organization that has been providing pediatric services, behavioral health, rehabilitation, and prevention services to the children, adolescents, and families of Miami-Dade County for over 50 years.
We are currently seeking a Medical Assistant! Job Summary: Assists in the delivery of services as part of the School Health Connect Teams at school sites under the supervision of a registered nurse. Is responsible for a full range of medical assistance duties that include but are not limited to: Conducts vision, hearing and health screenings to students at the school site; Administers first aid and CPR; Works with school's staff to provide prevention/intervention strategies; Assures compliance with immunizations and other screenings; Responsible for data collection and maintaing data. Skills / Requirements
Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalency;
Medical Assistant diploma and certification required; One year experience preferably with children; Bilingual is a plus; Must sucessfully complete all mandated criminal background screenings and fingerprinting; CPR and First Aid Administration Certification; Ability to maintain confidentiality of classified agency and client information; Strong oral and written communication skills; Ability to work with diverse groups and individuals.
