Jobing Description

The Institute for Child and Family Health, Inc. (formerly CPC) is a private, not-for-profit organization that has been providing behavioral health, pediatric health, rehabilitation, and prevention services to the children, adolescents, and families of Miami-Dade County for over 50 years.

Resumes for piecework therapists are solicited on an ongoing basis to provide services throughout Miami-Dade County.

Duties include but are not limited to:

Conducting intakes and implementing therapeutic treatment plans for severely emotionally disturbed (SED) children/adolescents. (If unlicensed under the supervision of a qualified supervisor).

Conducting individual, family, and group therapy sessions.

Participating in monthly case staffing meetings.

Responsible for a full range of clinical duties.

ICFH is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists.

ICFH is approved as a provider by:
The Florida Board which oversees LCSW's, LMFT's and LMHC's.
The Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy and Mental Health Counseling.

Skills / Requirements

Master's level degree in a mental health field with current State of Florida registration as an intern or must be eligible to register as an intern.

Licensed in the State of Florida.

Experience with SED children/at-risk youth and their families.

Knowledgeable in areas of child development, family functioning, child abuse and neglect, and resistant clients.

Skilled in collaborating with other disciplines and services.

Willing to travel locally.

Bilingual a plus.
