Position Summary:Responsible for planning, organizing, maintaining and controlling the Hematology section of the Laboratory.Position Expectations and Responsibilities:
Expected to performs all procedures within the section supervised. Expected to oversee the following: Staffing Instrument maintenance Quality control Budgeting Test development Proficiency testing Clinical staff interaction Adequate inventory of supplies and materials Training staff in emergency and disaster codes and drills Procedure manuals Point of care and waived testing Compliance with all local, state and federal regulations
Doctoral degree in Clinical Laboratory, Chemical or Biological Science with 1 year in a clinical laboratory setting in the section with direct oversight.
OR
Master's degree in Clinical Laboratory, Chemical or Biological Science with 3 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting in the section with direct oversight.
OR
Bachelor's degree with a Clinincal Laboratory focus or equivalent with 5 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting in the section with direct oversight.
Florida State License as Supervisor of Clinincal Laboratory Science in the specialty of employment
