Minimum Requirements
  • Must have obtained a Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Fire Protection Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from a 4 year accredited college or university.

  • Zero (0) to one (1) year of job-related experience or equivalent.

  • Must be capable of applying Protection Engineering principles to problems ranging from simple code consulting to unique and complex technical problems.

  • Familiar with NFPA codes and standards, evaluation of fire protection programs and facilities.

  • Acquainted with development and implementation of fire protection programs, fire protection systems support including minor design modifications or recommendations.

  • Able to provide Fire Protection engineering project support ranging from small focused scope to large, multimillion dollar one of a kind projects.

  • Knowledgeable in computer modeling of fire, egress or other fire related or influenced phenomena.

  • Candidate must be eligible to obtain a DOE Q clearance and access to Commercial Nuclear Facilities.

  • Candidate must be able to travel on business as needed.

  • Due to the nature of work, candidate must be a US Citizen.
