 Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Coral Gables operates under a commission/manager form of government and is well known for its active and involved citizenry. The Senior Traffic Engineer is part of a dedicated, talented, and innovative team with responsibility to promote mobility and livability in the City of Coral Gables. This position includes technical traffic engineering review, analysis and design, and project and program management. The Senior Traffic Engineer reports to and receives general direction from the Assistant Public Works Director for Sustainable Public Infrastructure.

 Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
 
Professional engineering license in the state of Florida within 6 months of hire or a transportation planning certification.
 
Seven (7) years of progressive experience in the planning, design and construction of public sector projects, including at least three  (3) years with specific transportation planning and or /traffic engineering experience.
 
A comparable amount of training or experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.
 
Valid Florida Driver's License.
