General Summary of Position:

The Relationship Development Manager role is a quota carrying position with revenue and commission emphasis on upselling data products to our existing client base exclusively. The RDM will be aligned by Territory and responsible for strategic account development as well as ongoing communication with existing clients. The RDM is tasked with gaining executive level alignment, understanding the executive level goals and challenges in the short term as well as the long term. A strategic initiative by a customer, to move to VoIP or adjust the WAN strategy does not happen without a Granite RDM knowing about it and competing for this revenue.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Will be working alongside Granite Operational Teams to coordinate the building and delivery of quarterly executive reviews and annual reviews. In addition they will work alongside an SE, who will be working to scope out the solution requirements and gain the solution ‘win’. On larger project deals you will work alongside the PMO to gain the project ‘win’ as well. The RD team works together to gain executive alignment for Granite Executives and we work to schedule meetings to do just this.

  • Travel is required

  • RDM will need to attend all required training sessions initially and ongoing

  • Must know how to position and sell all of the Granite products; be a SME.

  • 100% enthusiastic adoption of Salesforce. Roadmap buildout for assigned accounts, contacts, diagrams, quotes, notes … all updated into Salesforce.

  • Responsible for and limited to their assigned accounts.

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Capable of learning new products and services

  • A solution selling process

  • Team sales process with multiple ‘wins’ required with a customer

  • All products and the value of the products are to the customer
