Performs and provides secretarial, clerical, clinical and administrative support services. Transports when necessary in Agency vehicle.



High School Diploma or equivalent plus secretarial/clerical experience. Must have experience working in the Behavioral Health field.



Must be in good physical condition with no restrictions of movement. 
Must be able to apply Therapeutic Effective Aggression Management (CPI/CARE) Techniques without limitations.


1.0 Performs a wide variety of typing and clerical assignments.

1.1 Consistently completes all typing assignments accurately; final copies have been corrected for spelling, grammar and in an attractive and easy-to-read format.

1.2 Consistently demonstrates thorough knowledge of English grammar, punctuation and composition in the preparation of correspondence, reports and other documents.
1.3 Promptly completes clerical assignments (i.e., photo-copying) as needed and as requested.
1.4 Maintains adequate supply of program forms and other record keeping documents.
1.5 Prepares minutes for staff meeting and sub-committees.
2.0 Enters into the electronic data processing system, client data, program policies and procedures and other various data, as required.
2.1 Collects and enters into the computer, various program and client information and data.
2.2 Consistently performs data entry tasks in an efficient, accurate and thorough manner.
2.3 Always exercises care in entering data to prevent incorrect information.
2.4 Always gives accurate attention to detail.
3.0 Answers telephone, takes messages and communicates messages to the appropriate person.
3.1 Always demonstrates good judgment in screening and/or routing calls.
3.2 Always takes accurate telephone messages and relays appropriate information in a timely manner.
3.3 Receives, places and transfers calls in a tactful and professional manner; handles telephone information requests with courtesy, accuracy and respect.
4.0 Responsible for the collection and transmission of Patient Account information and billing documents.
4.1 Reviews Employee schedules for accuracy and missing information / notes and notifies staff and supervisor.
4.2 Runs productivity and delinquency reports and distributes to billing staff.
4.3 Verifies Medicaid eligibility monthly and distributes printouts to clinical staff.
5.0 Opens, sorts, reviews and distributes incoming mail; routes outgoing mail.
5.1 Demonstrates good judgment in reviewing incoming mail; responds appropriately as necessary; forwards mail to appropriate person.
5.2 Maintains strict confidentiality of sensitive material and/or information.
5.3 Routes outgoing mail to proper commitment.
6.0 Shares responsibility for office reception functions.
6.1 Receives, greets and directs visitors, clients and staff; is pleasant and courteous at all times.
6.2 Offers assistance and provides direction to visitors, clients and staff in a concise and informative manner.

7.0 Transports clients to outpatient groups or other destinations as directed by Program Manager.

7.1 Verbalizes, understands, and adheres to Agency safety practices and transportation policy and procedures.
7.2 Maintains current driver's license.

8.0 Performs other duties as requested.
8.1 Miscellaneous duties are performed according to instruction.
