Job Description

The Regional Fitness Manager (RFM) will be responsible ensuring excellence in the delivery of the Orangetheory workout in Corporately Owned Studios within their region and to work with the Regional Sales and Operations Manager to promote the studios to ensure high utilization and membership growth. The RFM will be expected to regularly review and train the fitness staff on new and existing aspect of the Orangetheory workout and provide education on advances in EPOC theory either created or adopted by Orangetheory.


  • Teach at least 5 Orangetheory Fitness workouts per week at one of the OTF studios you oversee which may be incorporated in your standard workweek, but must not interfere with your RFM job responsibilities and no more than 10 classes per week unless required to cover a class due to staffing issues
  • Lead fitness training workshops and perform continuing education for coaches as needed in order to educate the fitness team on best practices based on Orangetheory’s established standards
  • Work closely with the Regional Sales and Operations Manager, Studio Managers and Head Fitness Coaches to maintain high utilization (must meet Orange Standards of 80%) in all classes scheduled in the region and increase the membership base at all studios
  • Assist in the recruitment, evaluations, counseling and terminations of fitness coaches within specific region to ensure proper staffing at all studios
  • Practice regular independent, discretionary judgement in order to ensure OTF strict guidelines are being followed at all corporately owned studios in their area
  • Must submit monthly schedule and weekly reports to direct supervisor outlining work hours and activities performed
  • Must visit each studio within the region at least once per week
  • Perform 90-to-90 and 90-to-Elite evaluations of coaches and provide mentoring for improvement as needed
  • Present 5-day or Individual OTFit Certification fitness training classes as needed to train new coaches or reinforce Orangetheory Guidelines
  • Assist with studio compliance audits as needed.  This includes assisting and auditing entire studio operations in addition to the fitness team evaluations
  • Lead workouts in the event a particular studio has a scheduling issue and a coach is unavailable for a scheduled class
  • Assume Head Coach role in the event a studio is without a Head Coach
  • The Regional Fitness Manager may choose the studio, but is required to complete all duties from one of the studio locations they oversee
  • May be required to attend events hosted in region
  • Responsible for addressing member concerns from Listen 360 and making phone calls to members to discuss fitness related issues


  • Self-motivated and driven fitness professional
  • Experience in the fitness industry in a leadership role - direct experience in fitness training required
  • Excellent communication and organization skills required
  • Ability to effectively give training presentations to small groups, with previous experience in training/mentoring
  • Knowledge of computer skills, MS office and basic software programs
  • Success at the Orangetheory Head Trainer position in a studio is preferred
  • Able to work flexible schedules as needed, including weekends and holidays


  • Successful completion of the OT Fit Certification
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a leader in the fitness industry
  • Minimum of one year as an OTF Fitness Coach
  • Current nationally accredited personal trainer or primary group exercise certification
  • Current CPR/AED certification
  • Bachelor’s Degree in an Exercise Science related field is a plus
