    The Manager Facility Services & Maintenance is responsible for managing the Ryder facilities maintenance program. She/he is responsible for day to day oversight of a centralized facility maintenance/repair program for Ryder FMS operating facilities. She/he along with the Director will manage internal client relationship with Ryder Operations leadership, field operations, and improve services to Ryder facilities served by the program. Position will report to Director of Facility Management, and manage priorities/goals for preventive and corrective building maintenance, working closely with Real Estate, Construction and other teams to meet organizational goals.


    • Bachelor's degree in facility/property management, construction environmental sciences, business administration or similar subject
    • Master's degree in property management preferred
    • Ten (10) years or more experience in real estate, consulting, finance or with 3rd party management service provider
    • Five (5) years or more experience in project management for facility operations and services. Operational knowledge of corporate centralized support services
    • Demonstrates analytical and financial skills
    • Technical skill for facility mechanical/electrical/plumbing systems
    • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to present in diverse groups (advanced level)
    • Decision-making mentoring, team building development (intermediate level)
    • Problem solving and process development (intermediate level) preferred
    • Project management, working knowledge of skilled trades and building related systems preferred
    • Proficient in using MS Office applications, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Project, Visio, and Access (advanced level) preferred
    • Certified Six Sigma Green Belt preferred


    • Manage day to day services and operations of centralized facilities maintenance/repair program to include implementing improvements to advance quality, effectiveness and customer satisfaction. Primary focus to manage services, delivery, escalations, issue resolution, for work provided by Ryder 3rd party management company providing scheduled PM and reactive building maintenance services
    • Drive centralized facility maintenance/repair program performance and organizational strategic goals by managing/implementing operational efficiencies to advance the quality and effectiveness of the service offerings of the program
    • Drive program continued improvements (find solutions) by proactively engaging and supporting a diverse cross-functional network of centralized services provided the Ryder Environmental, Ryder Fuel Services(RFS), Engineering, Real Estate and Sustainability groups
    • Accelerate program adoption and promote adherence to guidelines/policies by engaging, teaching, training, and mentoring
    • Define and improve program work flows, processes, and standards
    • Develop and release communications to advance program objectives to include developing training and other educational content
    • Manage/develop facility management best practices to support compliance with regulatory requirements, zoning and asset preservation standards
    • Maintain/improve real estate management policies as needed to extend life of capital real estate assets
    • Drive operational excellence through the use of information management tools
    • Support the development and implementation of facility 5 year capital planning
    • Manage 3rd party facility maintenance vendor relationships including national service provider to ensure compliance with Service Agreement performance KPIs and financial budget targets
    • Implement and manage operational performance tools (KPI, Metrics and scorecards) in support of strategic cost reduction programs, reduce operating costs, while improvising facility environments
    • Manage monthly/quarterly/annual budgets, financial and operations reports for centralized facility management program
    • Perform other duties as needed to advance centralized facility maintenance program including corrective and preventive maintenance standards
