Overall Job Objective
- Under limited supervision, performs administrative, supervisory and technical work in planning, directing, coordinating, evaluating and maintaining the operations of the Utilities Department water and wastewater infrastructure inclusive of water resources, water treatment, water distribution, wastewater treatment, wastewater collection, reclaimed water treatment, reclaimed water distribution and industrial pretreatment and other support areas. Work is performed under the general direction of the Utilities Director.
- Minimum Training and Experience
- Graduation from an accredited four (4) year college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or closely related discipline. Must be a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Florida. Five (5) – seven (7) years professional or administrative experience in the operation and direction of a municipal utilities system; with three (3) to five (5) years supervisory experience.
Five (5) years progressively responsible engineering experience in the design and construction water treatment, water distribution, wastewater treatment, reclaimed water treatment, waste water collection, or other public utility projects.
A comparable combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position, may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.
A Master's Degree in Civil, Environmental, Public Administration or closely related field is preferred.

- Must possess and maintain a valid State of Florida Class "E" Driver's License with a good driving history.If selected, candidate will be required to submit a lifetime driving history.
