- Under limited supervision, plans, organizes, documents, budgets and coordinates daily stormwater maintenance activities in the Public Works and Capital Projects Department. Ensures compliance with pertinent Federal, State, and local laws to include compliance with NPDES and CRS requirements. Responsibilities include monitoring the quality of services delivered by contractors, consultants, and other service providers. Plans, implements, and maintains documentation of all related maintenance activities. Work is performed under direction with considerable latitude in the use of initiative and independent judgment. Seeks technical guidance on unusual or complex problems or issues. Reports to Assistant Public Works and Capital Projects Director.
- Minimum Training and Experience
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Public Administration, Environmental Science, Engineering or other related field is required; supplemented by three (3) or more years' experience in stormwater. Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) is preferred; or obtain within one (1) year of employment. Must have National Incident Management System (NIMS) certification (level to be determined by job classification requirements) or; obtain within one (1) year of employment.
