The Position:
This position is responsible for source selection and procurement functions for production materials. Source quality materials from reliable vendors at best cost, quality and turn around time in order to meet our delivery demands while maintaining quality standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Follow established company purchasing processes and procedures.
- Procure quality goods, such as raw materials, equipment, tools, parts and supplies from domestic suppliers (USA, Canada).
- Evaluate purchasing requests for specifications, quality and delivery for selection of vendors, price, terms and conditions.
- Manage vendor relationships on behalf of the company (domestic only).
- Negotiate purchase prices, prepare purchase orders, reviews vendor proposals and orders for accuracy, delivery dates, invoicing requirements.
- Monitor schedule and delivery dates of materials, resolves issues related to quality, quantity, delivery.
- Participate in new product launch initiatives including the sourcing of new materials and the search for new suppliers.
- Coordinate non-conforming materials actions for defective/unacceptable goods or services with inspection or quality control personnel, users, vendors and others to determine source of trouble and take corrective action.
- Accurately and timely receive & count orders that arrive to our warehouse, and ensure quality control counts are accurate.

Required experience & qualifications
  • Must have experience (2 yr min) as a purchasing agent, materials buyer or relevant role in a manufacturing setting.
  • Must have experience sourcing and purchasing tooling, raw materials (such as aluminum, hardware, wiring) supplies.
  • Strong administrative and computer skills. We use Macs, must be able to confidently use or quickly learn using Mac computers and applications.
  • Competency with mathematic skillset requires (will have to be able to perform trigonometry, fractions, matrix conversions, etc).
  • Must be organized and punctual.
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills. You will need to interact at a professional level with vendors.

Drug Free Workplace:
We are a Florida Drug Free Workplace. The company requires all employees to complete a pre-employment 10 panel drug screen; employment status will be dependent on ability to pass this screening and partake on quarterly random screen.

Hours, compensation and benefits:
Compensation for this positions begins at $17.00 per hour, negotiable based on relevant skills and experience.

Company business hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00PM.
